Christopher Craft has filed a lawsuit against Publix Super Markets, Inc., doing business as Publix Super Market at University Village. The case, numbered 24-001239-CI, was filed in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida on March 18, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that he suffered injuries due to a slip and fall incident at the defendant's premises.

Craft visited the defendant's store located at 18901 FL-54, Lutz, Florida 33558 on July 1, 2023. During his visit, he allegedly slipped and fell due to a transitory foreign substance on the floor near an aisle behind the registers and between two coolers.

The plaintiff claims that as a result of this incident, he sustained injuries and damages exceeding $50,000. He argues that Publix failed to maintain or adequately maintain the flooring which created an unreasonably dangerous condition for him.

Craft is seeking judgment for damages that exceed $50,000 exclusive of costs, interest and attorneys’ fees. He contends that Publix negligently failed to maintain safe conditions in their store and did not provide adequate warning about potential hazards.
