ORLANDO – An Orange County man alleges that an unlicensed contractor failed to complete work it was paid to do on his home.
Tam Luong filed a complaint on June 16 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against BSA Woodwork Inc. and Luiz Jose Antonio alleging breach of contract, violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 20, 2016, he entered into a construction agreement with the defendants for construction work to be performed at his residence. However, the defendants allegedly failed to complete the project, despite having received almost the full contract value of the project.
The plaintiff holds BSA Woodwork Inc. and Antonio responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to obtain permits for the project, failed to properly complete the project, failed to use quality materials or skilled workers, and did not have the appropriate licenses needed to perform the work.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, general and special damages, actual damages, treble damages, attorneys’ fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief the court deems just. He is represented by Glenn T. Williams and Michelle L. Rivera of Williams Law Firm in Winter Park.
