A woman's estate blames Royal Caribbean after she died in a hot tub during a cruise.

Whitson Woodard, as the personal representative of the estate of Nancy Woodard, filed the complaint in federal court against Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Whitson Woodard is Nancy's Woodard's spouse.

According to the complaint, Nancy Woodard died February 9, 2023, on the Wonder of the Seas due to negligence by Royal Caribbean or its employees, agents and/or contractors working aboard the vessel.

The complaint alleges wrongful death and survival action due to negligent acts that led to Nancy Woodard's fatal injury. The incident occurred within or outside the territorial waters of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
