MIAMI – A Louisiana woman alleges she suffered severe injuries after a massage while on a cruise on the Carnival Elation.

Dawn Dawsey filed a complaint on Sept. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp., Steiner Transocean LTD, Steiner Management Services LLC, Steiner Leisure LTD, Steiner Transocean US Inc. and Jane/John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 15, 2015, she sustained physical injuries, including a fractured hip and back injuries, while getting a bamboo massage on the ship's Cloud 9 Spa. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp., Steiner Transocean LTD, Steiner Management Services LLC, Steiner Leisure LTD, Steiner Transocean US Inc. and Jane/John Doe responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate warning regarding the possible injuries of getting a massage and or properly train their contractors regarding the proper methods of massage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, medical expenses, all legal fees and interest. She is represented by Michael A. Robb of Clark, Robb, Mason, Coulombe, Buschman & Charbonnet in Coral Springs.
