A Florida woman has filed a lawsuit against a well-known grocery chain, claiming negligence after suffering injuries from a slip and fall incident at one of its stores. On May 2, 2025, Amalia Caspi lodged her complaint in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, targeting ALDI (Florida) LLC, doing business as ALDI.
The incident that led to this legal action occurred on September 12, 2024. According to the complaint, Caspi was visiting an ALDI store located at 3401 South Jog Road in Greenacres, Florida. While navigating near the front of the store by a register, she slipped on a slippery liquid substance on the floor. This unfortunate event prompted Caspi to seek legal recourse against ALDI for what she claims is negligence on their part.
Caspi's complaint outlines several allegations against ALDI. She accuses the company of failing to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition and neglecting to warn customers about dangerous conditions. The document states that ALDI either created or allowed the hazardous condition by permitting a slippery liquid substance to remain on the floor without proper warnings or barricades. Furthermore, it alleges that ALDI failed to correct this hazardous situation despite knowing—or having reason to know—that such conditions existed and posed risks to visitors like Caspi.
As per Caspi's assertions, these failures resulted in significant personal harm. She claims damages encompassing medical expenses, loss of dignity, humiliation, bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, discomfort, and loss of enjoyment of life.
In her pursuit of justice and compensation for her injuries and distress caused by this incident at ALDI's premises, Caspi demands judgment against the defendant along with a jury trial. Her legal representation is spearheaded by Jordan J. Golinowski from The Golinowski Law Firm P.A., based in Fort Lauderdale.
