Carlo Laude has filed a lawsuit against a Florida-based not-for-profit corporation, accusing it of negligence after he suffered serious injuries on their premises. The complaint was lodged by Laude in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on January 23, 2025, targeting Kings Point Recreation Corporation, Inc.

The case stems from an incident that occurred on November 15, 2023, when Carlo Laude was visiting the premises located at Normandy Lane in Delray Beach. According to the complaint, Laude was unaware of a hazardous condition—a hole—that had been dug within the property. As he traversed the area, he tripped and fell into this hole, resulting in significant bodily harm. The lawsuit asserts that Kings Point Recreation Corporation had either actual or constructive knowledge of this dangerous condition due to its duration or regular occurrence but failed to address it adequately.

Laude's complaint outlines several accusations against Kings Point Recreation Corporation. It alleges that the defendant breached its duty of care by failing to maintain a safe environment and neglecting to warn visitors about potential hazards. "Defendant owed Plaintiff a duty of reasonable care," states the complaint, emphasizing that the corporation should have acted as a reasonably prudent entity to prevent foreseeable risks. The filing further accuses Kings Point Recreation Corporation of not implementing necessary procedures for routine inspections and training staff adequately to identify and report unsafe conditions.

In seeking justice for his injuries, Carlo Laude is demanding compensation exceeding $50,000 for damages incurred from his fall. These damages include medical expenses, loss of income both past and future, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement, and diminished capacity for enjoying life. The lawsuit also requests that a jury trial be conducted to resolve these issues.

Representing Carlo Laude is attorney Michael W. Wallace from the Law Office of Michael W. Wallace P.A., based in Fort Lauderdale. The Case Number 502025CA000702XXXAMB Div: AD.
