Sheelove Elisme has filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, accusing two individuals of negligence and vicarious liability. The complaint was lodged on November 6, 2024, against Isalienne Jean and Andrew H. Desautels following a vehicular accident that resulted in significant injuries to Elisme.

According to the court documents, Sheelove Elisme claims that on June 15, 2023, Andrew H. Desautels was operating a vehicle owned by Isalienne Jean when he allegedly drove negligently and collided with Elisme's vehicle near Military Trail Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County. The plaintiff asserts that Desautels had a duty to operate the vehicle safely but failed to do so, leading to severe bodily injuries for Elisme. These injuries are described as permanent and include pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life. Furthermore, the complaint highlights the expenses incurred for medical treatment due to these injuries.

The legal action also targets Isalienne Jean under the doctrine of vicarious liability. As the owner of the vehicle involved in the accident, Jean is accused of giving Desautels permission to operate her car. Consequently, she is held responsible for any damages resulting from Desautels' alleged negligent driving. The complaint underscores that Jean's liability stems from her ownership of what is termed a "dangerous instrumentality," which legally binds her to any harm caused by its operation.

Elisme seeks compensation exceeding $50,000 for damages sustained from this incident. The relief sought includes not only monetary damages but also costs and interest associated with the case. Additionally, Elisme has requested a jury trial to resolve these issues formally.

Representing Sheelove Elisme is attorney Peter Hunt from Rubenstein Law P.A., based in Miami. The case ID is: 502024CA010590XXXAMB Div: AJ.
