Stephanie Vattuone has filed a negligence complaint against Bright Horizons Children’s Centers, LLC. The complaint was filed in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida on May 30, 2024.

According to the complaint, Stephanie Vattuone alleges that she suffered severe injuries due to negligence on the part of Bright Horizons Children’s Centers. The incident occurred on January 31, 2023, at the Bright Horizons facility located at 1033 Dakota Drive, Jupiter, FL. Vattuone claims that while visiting the premises as a business invitee, she was instructed to wear cloth "booties" over her shoes. These booties significantly reduced her traction and grip. Upon entering an infant room with slick flooring, she slipped and fell, resulting in serious bodily injury.

The plaintiff asserts that Bright Horizons had a non-delegable duty to maintain safe conditions for its business invitees and invited licensees. Vattuone contends that the combination of slick flooring and reduced traction from the cloth booties created an unreasonably dangerous condition which led to her fall. She further accuses Bright Horizons of failing to warn her about this hazardous condition despite knowing or reasonably being expected to know about it.

As a result of the fall, Vattuone claims she has endured significant pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of earning capacity, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. She believes these losses are either permanent or continuing and will persist into the future.

Vattuone is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 along with prejudgment interest on liquidated damages as allowed by law. Additionally, she requests reimbursement for legal costs and any other relief deemed just by the court. A trial by jury has also been demanded for all issues triable by right.

Representing Stephanie Vattuone is Luke T. Moreau from the Law Offices of Luke T. Moreau in Hollywood, Florida. The case has been assigned Case Number: 502024CA005062XXXAMB Div: AH.
