Bradley Adds Estate Planning Partner Chad Callahan to Tampa Office

Bradley is pleased to announce that Charles “Chad” W. Callahan III has joined the Tampa office as a partner in the Tax and Trusts & Estates practice groups. He previously led the trusts and estates group at Hill Ward Henderson in Tampa.

“Chad is a highly regarded attorney in Florida who has a deep understanding of the tax laws governing trusts and estates matters,” said Bradley Tampa Office Managing Partner Lauren G. Raines. “We are pleased to welcome him to the firm and add his significant experience in trusts and estates work to our office, which will benefit our Florida-based clients and others across our footprint who have interests in the state.”

Mr. Callahan devotes his practice to estate planning, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfers, tax planning, business succession planning, and charitable planning, as well as tax controversy matters against the IRS and matters involving the administration of trusts and estates. He is board certified in Wills, Trusts & Estates by the Florida Bar and regularly works with individuals and families to achieve their estate planning goals, including succession planning for closely held businesses, life insurance, wealth preservation, planning with private foundations, and planning for families with young children. Mr. Callahan also works with family members and professional fiduciaries through the probate and trust administration process after a death to help navigate all related post-mortem tax issues.

Mr. Callahan received his J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law and his LL.M. from the University of Miami. Mr. Callahan has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2013 and has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers since 2014. He also was named to TAMPA Magazine’s list of “Top Lawyers for Trusts & Estates Law” in 2025.

An active member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Callahan has served on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, served on the Wills, Trusts & Estates Certification Committee, and currently chairs the IRA, Insurance and Employee Benefits Committee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. He is also actively involved in the Tampa community, having served on the board of Success 4 Kids and Families, Inc., and the Tampa Museum of Art Foundation, and as a member of Leadership Tampa, the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council, and the Financial Ambassador Council for the University of Tampa.

Bradley’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group provides sound and creative advice to individuals and families in structuring estate plans to meet their needs, guiding clients through the maze of estate tax rules to develop estate plans that accomplish both their tax and non-tax goals. Attorneys provide counsel on planning related to business succession, wealth preservation, retirement benefits, beneficiary designation, and work to develop techniques specific to charitable giving and protecting the value of an estate.

The firm’s Tax Practice Group offers a broad range of services covering all aspects of federal, state, and local taxation laws for individuals and businesses. Bradley’s tax attorneys serve a diverse client base and have direct experience handling unique tax issues in a wide range of industries. More than half of the partners in the Tax Practice Group are elected Fellows in either the American College of Tax Counsel or the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, both of which are elite groups of nationally recognized tax or trust and estate attorneys.
