Sandra Boudreau has filed a lawsuit against PruittHealth-Southwood, LLC, PruittHealth-North Central Florida, LLC, United Health Services of Florida, LLC, and PruittHealth, Inc. in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial District in Palm Beach County, Florida (Case No. 502024CA004235XXXAMB) on May 6, 2024. The lawsuit alleges negligence and breach of fiduciary duty related to the care provided to Boudreau at the PruittHealth skilled nursing facility.

According to the complaint filed by attorney Michelle Revelt of Smith Clinesmith LLP, Sandra Boudreau was admitted to PruittHealth on May 25, 2023. During her stay until June 12, 2023, she experienced five falls resulting in significant injuries including a fractured and dislocated right hip. The complaint details that Boudreau had multiple health issues making her highly susceptible to falls and required diligent care which was allegedly not provided by the defendants.

The plaintiff claims that despite knowing Boudreau's high risk for falls due to her medical condition and recent surgery, the defendants failed to establish or implement an adequate care plan. This failure allegedly led directly to her injuries. The damages sought exceed $50,000 exclusive of interests and costs.

Boudreau is seeking judgment against all defendants for their alleged negligence and breach of fiduciary duty. She demands compensation for her injuries and associated pain and suffering along with a trial by jury.
