Sharese Scott sues River Figard for motor vehicle accident

In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, Sharese Scott has filed a lawsuit against River Figard. The case, identified as 24-000939-ClI, was filed on February 27, 2024. Scott is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 from Figard for an alleged motor vehicle accident that occurred on September 29, 2023.

Represented by E. Lynn Gibbons of Gibbons & Gibbons, Scott alleges that Figard negligently operated a motor vehicle which resulted in a collision with her vehicle while both were traveling on Highland Avenue in Largo, Pinellas County. As a result of this incident, Scott claims to have sustained bodily injuries leading to pain and suffering, disability, scarring and disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience among other losses.

Scott further alleges that she incurred medical expenses not covered by Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Insurance as per Chapter 627 of Florida Statutes. She also claims to have suffered permanent injury within a reasonable degree of medical probability or was injured in a manner that meets or exceeds the threshold requirements of Section 627.737 of Florida Statutes.

In conclusion, Scott is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 excluding costs from Figard and demands trial by jury on all issues so triable.
