In the County Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, plaintiffs Christopher Wilke and Chastity Wilke have filed a lawsuit against State Farm Florida Insurance Company. The case, bearing the ID 24-001734-CO, was filed on February 26, 2024.

The Wilkes allege that their property was damaged by an accidental discharge of water which resulted in water and/or mold and/or fungi damages. They claim that despite maintaining a policy of insurance covering such damages with State Farm, the defendant has underestimated and under adjusted the loss, refusing to pay the full amount due for their loss.

The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for damages exceeding $8,000 but less than $50,000 exclusive of attorney’s fees, pre-judgment interest, and costs. They also demand court costs, attorney’s fees, expert fees and costs, pre-judgment interest as well as all benefits available under the policy from State Farm.
