In the Sixth Judicial Circuit for Pasco County, Florida, a lawsuit has been filed by plaintiff Andres Gonzalez against defendant Morgan Brown. The case, bearing the number 24-001832-CO, was filed on February 28, 2024. The dispute revolves around an engagement ring that was not returned and subsequently lost.

Gonzalez presented the ring to Brown in March of 2020 during their engagement. However, after the engagement was called off, Brown refused to return the ring despite several demands made by Gonzalez. It is alleged that Brown lost the ring and suspected a former roommate of stealing it. This led to Gonzalez seeking legal help and filing an action for writ of replevin in Hillsborough County 13 District Court.

The lawsuit seeks damages of more than $9,000 exclusive of interest and attorney’s fees. After unsuccessful attempts to retrieve the property, Gonzalez's attorney initiated this present action for monetary damages. The damages sought amount to $17,000.

The plaintiff is represented by Attorney Joel Lipinski from Law Firm of Joseph “Joel” Lipinski. Gonzalez is seeking judgment that finds Brown liable for negligence and conversion. He also requests that the court award him monetary damages and any additional relief deemed just.
