Carnival Imagination passenger alleges she was injured in fall on stairs

Cruise 07

MIAMI – An Ojai, California woman alleges she was injured while traveling on the cruise ship Carnival Imagination.

Kathleen Kehoe filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Line, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 15, she sustained physical injuries, including a lacerated shin, when her sandal caught in the metal strip nosing on the stairs and caused her to fall. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning regarding the hazardous condition of the stairs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, medical expenses, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Spencer Aronfeld and Matthias M. Hayashi of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
