MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County corporation alleges another business in the county manufactures construction elements that infringe its copyrighted designs.
Tecnoglass LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against RC Home Showcase Inc. citing copyright infringement, unjust enrichment and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of their copyrighted designs for windows, sliding glass doors and window wall systems being infringed. The plaintiff holds RC Home Showcase Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly copied and altered the plaintiff's designs.
The plaintiff seeks damages, injunction against the defendant, order the defendant to destroy all copies that infringes plaintiff's copyright, all damages, all legal fees and interest, plus any other relief this court deems just.
