MIAMI – A passenger on the cruise ship Rhapsody has filed suit over allegations he was injured after a fall while disembarking.
Luis Bolanos filed a complaint on Aug. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 19, 2015, he sustained physical injuries when he slipped and fell while disembarking a fender boat that was operated by the defendant. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly supervise its staff, failed to warn the plaintiff and failed to exercise reasonable care.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages. He is represented by Peter R. Hunt of LaBovick, LaBovick & Diaz Law Group in Palm Beach Gardens.
