Keitra Hanna Pierre has filed a lawsuit against a major retail corporation following an incident that left her with severe injuries. The complaint was lodged by Pierre in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on April 22, 2025, targeting Wal-Mart Stores East, LP as the defendant.

The case revolves around an unfortunate event that occurred on November 30, 2024, when Keitra Hanna Pierre visited a Wal-Mart store located at 4375 Belvedere Rd., West Palm Beach, Florida. As per the court documents, Pierre was at the store as a business invitee when she slipped and fell due to a yellow liquid substance on the floor. This accident resulted in significant injuries to Pierre, which she claims are both serious and permanent. The complaint asserts that Wal-Mart Stores East had a duty to maintain their premises in a safe condition for customers like Pierre and failed to do so.

According to the allegations laid out by Pierre's legal team, Wal-Mart breached its duty of care by allowing hazardous conditions to persist within its store. The plaintiff accuses the defendant of several acts of negligence including creating or permitting the presence of slippery substances on the floor without adequate warning signs for customers. Furthermore, it is alleged that such dangerous conditions were regular occurrences at this location and should have been foreseeable by Wal-Mart management. "The subject dangerous conditions were created by the Defendant," states one part of the complaint.

Pierre's injuries from this incident are extensive; she claims bodily harm leading to pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life among other damages. Her medical expenses have reportedly been substantial and are expected to continue into the future due to ongoing treatment needs. Additionally, Pierre alleges an aggravation of pre-existing conditions along with loss of income and earning capacity resulting from her injuries.

In seeking justice through this lawsuit, Keitra Hanna Pierre demands judgment against Wal-Mart Stores East for damages exceeding $50,000 but not more than $74,500 excluding attorney fees and costs. She also requests a jury trial for all issues deemed triable as a matter of right.

Representing Keitra Hanna Pierre is attorney Gal Sinclair from Miami-based law firm Gal Sinclair Law Firm. The case is filed under Case Number: 502025CA003928XXXAMB.
