A New Jersey resident is seeking justice after a golfing mishap at a Florida resort left him injured. Warren Andress filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on April 24, 2025, against Boca Owner, LLC, FLB Hospitality Corp, Resort Hotel Purchasing Group, Inc., and Panthers BRHC, L.L.C.
The case revolves around an incident that occurred on May 1, 2023. Andress was participating in a golf outing at The Boca Raton golf club when he was struck in the head by a golf ball. According to the complaint, Andress was being guided through the premises by a course ranger when the accident happened. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants failed to implement adequate safety protocols for pedestrian guests on their active golf course. The lawsuit accuses all four defendants of negligence for not maintaining safe conditions and failing to warn of potential dangers.
Andress claims that each defendant had specific duties to ensure safety on their premises but failed to fulfill these obligations. He asserts that they should have exercised reasonable care to maintain safe conditions, inspected and corrected any dangerous situations they knew or should have known about, and warned guests of such dangers. Furthermore, he argues that the defendants did not create or follow reasonable internal policies and procedures to prevent hazardous conditions from occurring or continuing.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for bodily injuries sustained during the incident. These include pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings, and diminished earning capacity. Andress believes his injuries are permanent and will continue to affect him in the future.
