A tragic incident at a local amusement event has led to a legal battle, with serious allegations of negligence being leveled against the operators. On January 16, 2025, Andrea Manzon filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, against Arnold Amusements, Inc., doing business as Tim & Tom’s Midway. The lawsuit arises from an accident involving her minor child, A.M., who was injured on an amusement ride.

The case centers around an incident that occurred on October 20, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin, Florida. The plaintiff alleges that Arnold Amusements failed to maintain their amusement ride equipment safely and properly. Specifically, the complaint accuses Arnold Amusements of negligence concerning a giant slide ride that allegedly caused injury to A.M., who was a business invitee at the time. According to the lawsuit, Arnold Amusements had duties to ensure that their premises and rides were safe for invitees and to correct or warn about any known dangers.

Andrea Manzon's legal team argues that Arnold Amusements breached these duties by allowing the ride to be improperly assembled or left in disrepair. The complaint details several alleged failures by Arnold Amusements: failing to maintain the ride in a safe condition; not correcting known hazardous conditions; inadequate inspection of the equipment; and not remedying conditions that posed dangers due to frequent occurrences. As a result of these alleged failures, A.M. suffered bodily injuries leading to pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of enjoyment of life, and medical expenses.

The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for these injuries and losses. The lawsuit demands judgment against Arnold Amusements for damages along with costs and interest. Additionally, it calls for any other relief deemed just by the court. The case also includes a demand for a jury trial on all issues related to the claims.

Representing Andrea Manzon is attorney Alan Bulnes from Mickey Keenan P.A., based in Tampa, Florida. The case is filed under Case Number 25-000210-CI in front of Judge Ken Burke at the Pinellas County Circuit Court.
