A recent lawsuit has been filed against a well-known Pilates studio in Wellington, Florida, following an incident that allegedly resulted in significant injuries to a participant. The complaint was filed by Marlene Le on October 25, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The defendants named in the case are SB Venture One, LLC and SB Group, Inc., both doing business as Club Pilates Wellington.

According to the court documents, Marlene Le claims she was injured during a Pilates class at Club Pilates Wellington on January 31, 2023. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of negligence and failing to maintain a safe environment for their patrons. Le alleges that Cindy Lou, an agent of SB Venture One, LLC and SB Group, Inc., caused her physical injury during the class. "The Plaintiff was acting in a carefully prudent manner when the Defendant's agent caused physical injury," states the complaint.

Le's legal team argues that both companies had a duty to ensure reasonable care for their customers' safety but failed to do so. The complaint details various ways in which the defendants allegedly breached this duty: by not maintaining safe premises, failing to inspect for dangerous conditions, neglecting to warn patrons of potential hazards, and inadequately training their staff. These failures reportedly led to Le suffering serious and permanent bodily injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses, pain and suffering, loss of earnings capacity, and other related costs. She contends that her injuries are ongoing and will require further medical treatment and financial expenditure. In addition to compensatory damages, Le demands interest on applicable sums under Florida law and requests a jury trial.

Representing Marlene Le is Alexander L. Avarello from Wind Law Group PLLC. The case Number is: 502024CA010205XXXAMB Div: AN.
