A slip-and-fall incident at a commercial property has led to a significant legal battle in Pinellas County, Florida. On September 12, 2024, Antonio Romero filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit against South Pasadena R2G Owner LLC and Kimco Realty Corporation.

According to the court documents, Romero alleges that on February 22, 2023, he suffered severe injuries after slipping on a slippery substance at the premises located at or near 6818 Gulfport Boulevard S, Gulfport, FL. The complaint states that both defendants had a duty to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition but failed to do so. This failure allegedly resulted in Romero's injuries.

Romero claims that South Pasadena R2G Owner LLC and Kimco Realty Corporation were negligent in several ways. He accuses them of not maintaining the premises safely, failing to warn him about the dangerous condition, and not implementing policies to prevent such hazards. "Negligently and carelessly permitted the Plaintiff to walk upon said premises without exercising reasonable care for the protection and safety of the Plaintiff," reads one of the allegations.

The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from each defendant. He asserts that his injuries are permanent or continuing in nature and have caused him physical and mental pain, loss of earnings, and incurred medical expenses. The lawsuit demands a jury trial for all issues so triable as a matter of right.

Representing Antonio Romero is attorney Brian L. Elstein from Jack Bernstein, P.A., based in Tampa, Florida. The case has been assigned Case Number 24-004098-CI.
