Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of William “Billy” Jackson and Eric B. Moody as principals in its Norfolk and Tampa offices, respectively.

Billy assists clients with federal and state government investigations and enforcement actions and conducts internal investigations for companies facing allegations of misconduct. His practice uniquely combines investigative, litigation, regulatory, corporate and government engagement experience, providing creative solutions for clients navigating uncharted territories. He also is experienced in white-collar criminal defense, criminal and civil RICO and cases involving the False Claims Act. Earlier in his career, Billy served as a law clerk to Judge Kent Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to Judge Eduardo Robreno of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

“We are thrilled to welcome Billy to the Norfolk team,” said Norfolk Office Managing Principal and Litigation Manager Kristin H. Vaquera. “His deep understanding of government investigations and enforcement actions will be a tremendous asset to our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance. I am confident that Billy’s exceptional litigation skills, investigative acumen and legal insight will strengthen the firm’s capabilities and further our commitment to excellence in labor and employment law.”

Billy earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his B.A. from Brigham Young University.

Eric focuses his practice on defending a variety of labor and employment litigation issues including discrimination, retaliation, FLSA, FMLA, whistleblower, wage and hour, breach of contract and non-compete agreements. He also defends actions brought under federal and state consumer protection statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Collection Practices Act.

“Florida’s litigation landscape is uniquely challenging for many of our clients and Eric’s extensive experience in employment law is a tremendous asset in navigating these complexities,” said Tampa Office Managing Principal Benjamin D. Sharkey. “His impressive track record in handling high-stakes litigation—from discrimination and retaliation claims to wage and hour disputes—will significantly strengthen our ability to deliver strategic, results-driven solutions. We are excited to have Eric join us and look forward to the exceptional contributions he will make to our team.”

Eric earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and his B.S. from the University of South Florida.
