Partner Gregory Lee led a team that included Associates Hanna Elmasry and Yaima Seigley in the representation of Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners as they approved the funding of $312.5 million to go toward a new $1.3 billion stadium for the MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays team. The current stadium, Tropicana Field, opened in 1990 and has the only non-retractable dome in Major League Baseball. It is also the smallest stadium by seating capacity.
In addition to the stadium, the project includes the development of eight million square feet of affordable housing, hotels, office and retail space, as well as a new home for the Woodson African American Museum of Florida.
