Shari Black has filed a lawsuit against TA Four Lakes Fee Owner LLC, doing business as Four Lakes at Clearwater, in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. The case, identified as 24-001977-CI and filed on May 6, 2024, involves allegations of negligence related to a hazardous staircase on the defendant's property.

According to the complaint, on January 20, 2023, Black tripped and fell due to a significantly shorter bottom step on an external staircase at apartment #204. The plaintiff claims that this defect created a deceptive height difference that posed a tripping hazard for residents and guests. Represented by attorney David A. Papa from Papa Injury Law, Black asserts that the incident resulted in permanent bodily injuries causing pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and ongoing medical expenses.

Black is seeking monetary damages exceeding $50,000 for her injuries and losses. She demands judgment against TA Four Lakes Fee Owner LLC for these damages along with any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. Additionally, she requests a trial by jury to resolve all triable issues.
