Man sues Johnnie Brown’s Burgers for negligence after restroom fall

Richard Fiora has filed a lawsuit against OMJB Hospitality LLC, doing business as Johnnie Brown’s Burgers, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The case ID is 502024CA004296XXXAMB and was e-filed on May 8, 2024. The lawsuit alleges negligence on the part of OMJB Hospitality.

According to the complaint, on June 17, 2023, Richard Fiora visited Johnnie Brown’s Burgers located at 301 East Atlantic Blvd., Delray Beach, FL. Fiora claims that OMJB Hospitality failed to maintain a safe environment around the restrooms, leading to his fall and subsequent injuries. Represented by Adam M. Balkan from Balkan Patterson & Charbonnet, Fiora asserts that the restaurant neglected to inspect and correct dangerous conditions or warn patrons adequately.

Fiora is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, lost earnings and earning capacity. He demands a jury trial and any other relief deemed just by the court.
