Valarie Dolphin, representing the estate of Barbara Barber, has filed a lawsuit against 3825 Countryside Boulevard Operations, LLC and Lidenskab, LLC in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. The case number is 24-001791-CI and was filed on April 22, 2024. The suit alleges nursing home neglect resulting in wrongful death and severe injuries to Barber.

The complaint details that Barber was a patient at the defendants' skilled nursing facility where she suffered extreme pain and suffering, significant scarring, substantial additional care, and significant bills due to alleged negligence. The plaintiff asserts that the amount in controversy exceeds $50,000 exclusive of interest and costs.

Dolphin is seeking judgement for damages caused by the defendants' alleged violations of Residents’ Rights and negligence. She claims that a good faith reasonable investigation into the merits of this claim determined that there are grounds for a good faith belief that there was negligence on the part of the named Defendants.
