Daniel Lemenager has filed a lawsuit against Treasure Island Beach Club Condominium Association, Inc. in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. The case, identified as 24-001679-CI, was filed on April 16, 2024. The plaintiff alleges negligence on the part of the defendant leading to bodily injury.

Lemenager claims that while he was using the spa at Treasure Island Beach Club Resort located at 11750 Gulf Boulevard, an employee poured an excessive amount of chemicals into the spa without warning. This incident allegedly occurred on February 10, 2022. The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 excluding costs, interest and attorney's fees.

The complaint states that Treasure Island had a duty to maintain a safe environment for its guests and failed to do so by not properly maintaining the spa area and allowing it to have excessive chemical levels. It also accuses the defendant of failing to warn guests about potential hazards.

Lemenager is seeking judgment against Treasure Island for negligence and compensation for his injuries as well as costs and attorney's fees. He asserts that his claim value will be determined by a fair jury in accordance with Article 1, Section 21 of the Florida Constitution.
