Pamela Peterson sues Jorge Casanova Riestra for damages due to a motor vehicle accident

In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas, Florida, Pamela Peterson has filed a lawsuit against Jorge Casanova Riestra. The case, with ID 24-001680-CI, was filed on April 16, 2024. The complaint alleges negligence on part of Riestra resulting in a motor vehicle accident causing physical and emotional damages to Peterson.

Peterson's counsel, Ashby Davis of Morgan & Morgan Tampa P.A., claims that Riestra negligently operated his vehicle leading to a collision with Peterson's car on June 28, 2023. The incident took place near 3401 34th St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33711 in Pinellas County. Peterson is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for her injuries which include permanent bodily injury, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, pain and suffering among others.

The plaintiff is also seeking compensation for loss of earnings and capacity to earn money due to the accident. She has entered "$50,001" as the estimated amount of claim in the civil cover sheet for jurisdictional purposes only. The actual value will be determined by a jury.

Peterson demands judgment against Riestra in an amount exceeding $50,000 and requests a trial by jury for all issues triable as of right by a jury.
