Patricia Cross, as the personal representative of the Estate of Victor Cross, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against St. Petersburg FL OPCO LLC, also known as Balanced Healthcare. The case was lodged in the Circuit Court for Pinellas County, Florida, under case number 24-001379-CI on March 26, 2024.
The plaintiff's counsel alleges that Victor Cross was a resident at Balanced Healthcare from January 28, 2022 to March 15, 2024 and suffered from infirmities due to aging which impaired his ability to care for himself. They further claim that St. Petersburg FL OPCO LLC had control over the operation and management of Balanced Healthcare and failed to comply with minimum standards for nursing home operations.
Victor Cross passed away on March 16, 2024. Patricia Cross is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 exclusive of interest and costs for alleged negligence in the care and treatment of Victor Cross during his residency at Balanced Healthcare.
