Tova Cohen has filed a lawsuit against Academy Bus LLC in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA003255XXXAMB Div: AF and was filed on April 9, 2024. Cohen alleges that negligence on the part of Academy Bus led to her sustaining injuries while she was a passenger on one of their buses.
The incident occurred on February 16, 2022, when an abrupt stop by the bus driver caused Cohen to fall. Academy Bus LLC is being held responsible as the driver was an employee acting within the scope of their employment at the time of the incident.
Cohen claims to have suffered bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, hospitalization expenses, medical and nursing care costs, lost wages and future earning potential. The damages are estimated to exceed fifty thousand dollars.
