Edwin Jimenez has filed a lawsuit against Carlos Lopez Ruiz in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court for Palm Beach County, Florida. The case, identified as 502024CA003236XXXAMB Div: AG, was filed on April 8, 2024. The suit alleges negligence on the part of Ruiz resulting in a motor vehicle collision.
The complaint details that on October 23, 2023, both parties were involved in an accident at the intersection of Nu Vista Avenue and US-441 in Palm Beach County. It is alleged that Ruiz failed to yield to Jimenez's right of way while attempting to make a right turn onto US-441, causing his vehicle to collide with Jimenez's car and causing it to roll onto its side.
Jimenez claims he sustained significant permanent bodily injuries as a result of the collision. He seeks damages in excess of $50,000 exclusive of interest, costs and attorney's fees.
