Brandy Burns sues Nelson Gomez Roldan and NEE Transportation LLC for damages due to a car accident

In the Circuit Court, Second Judicial Circuit, Leon County, Florida, plaintiff Brandy Burns has filed a lawsuit against defendants Nelson Gomez Roldan and NEE Transportation, LLC. The case ID is 2024 CA 000380 and it was filed on March 5, 2024.

The lawsuit alleges that on August 31, 2023, Burns was driving a vehicle in Tallahassee when she was hit by a vehicle owned by NEE Transportation and operated by Roldan. The plaintiff claims that the accident resulted in significant physical and mental injuries, including permanent injury to the body as a whole, pain and suffering of both a physical and mental nature, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish among others.

Burns is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for negligence on part of Roldan and vicarious liability on part of NEE Transportation. She asserts that Roldan breached his duty to operate the motor vehicle with reasonable care for the safety of others around him. Furthermore, she claims that NEE Transportation is liable for Roldan's negligence as he was operating the vehicle in the course of his employment for them.
