In the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial Circuit, Leon County, Florida, a lawsuit has been filed by James Barrett against Botanic Tonics, LLC (Case No.: 24-CA-2024 CA 000378) on March 4, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant breached their contract and is seeking monetary damages in excess of $50,000, along with declaratory judgment and legal, equitable, and injunctive relief.

The plaintiff was employed by the defendant from January to April 2022. He claims that he met all requirements for obtaining a company vehicle as per their agreement but was denied after the company changed its policy. The change resulted in personal hardship for Barrett who had to use his own vehicle for work purposes.

Barrett also alleges that he was constructively terminated in late April 2022 after raising concerns about discrepancies in company policies. He has retained legal representation and is seeking payment of legal fees from the defendant under applicable laws.

The plaintiff is seeking an injunction against future violations of state laws by the defendant, a judgment awarding damages for the defendant's alleged violations of law, and other equitable relief.
