Ralph Pagano has filed a lawsuit against John Peddie in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA002117XXXAMB Div: AN and was filed on March 6, 2024. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $30,000 for assault and abuse of process.
Represented by his counsel, Pagano alleges that on March 6, 2023, an incident occurred between him and Peddie while they were driving their separate vehicles in Boca Raton. Peddie's aggressive behavior triggered fear and anxiety in Pagano who had his wife and two minor children in the vehicle at the time.
Pagano further alleges that following this near-miss incident, Peddie falsely reported to the Boca Raton Police Department that Pagano was the aggressor and had attempted to physically harm him with a baseball bat. This false report led to a criminal complaint and prosecution against Pagano which is currently pending.
The plaintiff is seeking judgment against Peddie for all damages suffered due to his assault and abuse of process. This includes compensatory damages according to proof at trial, attorney fees incurred in defending the criminal action, substantial damages stemming from lost income, loss of profits, business.
