TAMPA -- A woman is suing Red Lobster after allegedly choking on a rubber band.
Anatra D. Mahoney filed a complaint on August 5 in the Circuit Court of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and for Hillsborough County against Red Lobster Management, LLC and Red Lobster Hospitality for negligence.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 5, 2020, Mahoney at a Red Lobster in Brandon when she choked on a rubber band while eating her meal, causing her injury and medical expenses. She was eating a pasta dish with cream sauce in it "that had a rubber band mixed into it."
Mahoney seeks damages, interest, and cost of suit. Mahoney is represented by Shant R. Melkonian.
