TALLAHASSEE -- A company claims the need to block documents from being made public due to sensitive matters including trade secrets.

Heritage Property and Casualty Insurance Company filed a complaint on May 24 in Leon County Circuit Court against the Office of Insurance Regulation.

According to the complaint, the Office of Insurance Regulation required Heritage Property and Casualty to submit certain information and documentation which contained "trade secrets and proprietary business information" including response to Hurricane Irma related claims. A third party has requested the documentation be made public and Heritage Property and Casualty wishes to block that request due to the sensitive information.

Heritage Property and Casualty seeks for the documents to be declared containing trade secrets, therefore, barring public disclosure of said documents. Heritage Property and Casualty is represented by Greenberg Traurig P.A.
