TAMPA - Hillsborough County is sued in a personal injury complaint filed on March 30 in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court.

The complaint comes from plaintiff Sandra Cannon, who visited the Hillsborough County Center at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa on July 25, 2019.

According to Cannon, the county center's revolving door in the lobby is dangerous; it allegedly moved too fast and struck her from behind while she was using the door, and Cannon was "violently thrown to the ground."

Cannon says she has suffered serious, permanent injuries from the revolving door's unreasonably fast speed.

Hillsborough County is charged with negligence and Cannon is requesting the maximum payout cleared by the court. She is represented by Smith Thompson Law of Tampa.
