ORLANDO — An Orlando homeowner is suing a licensed insurer, alleging breach of an insurance policy.

Sebastian Salas filed a complaint Dec. 7 Orange County Circuit Court against Southern Fidelity Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide coverage for certain of the plaintiff’s losses.

According to the complaint, during the policy period April 28, 2017, to April 28, 2018, Salas' dwelling at 1456 Montego Lane, Orlando sustained a covered loss due to water damage. Salas says he timely notified Sothern Fidelity of the damages and was assigned a date of loss Jan. 28, 2018.

The plaintiff alleges Southern Fidelity Insurance has failed to pay for all of Salas' losses.

Salas seeks trial by jury, damages in excess $15,000, with interest, attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Aruna D. Nankissore of The Nation Law Firm LLP in Longwood.
