ORLANDO — An Orlando motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Laurie Cavagno filed a complaint Aug. 15 in Orange County Circuit Court against Isabel Cagle, alleging the defendant negligently operated her motor vehicle so that it collided with the plaintiff's car.

According to the complaint, on March 18, 2017, Cavagno was injured when Cagle caused her vehicle to collide with the plaintiff's car on South Crystal Lake Drive near its intersection of East Anderson Street in Orlando. Cavagno says she sustained bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, medical expenses and loss of the ability to earn money.

The plaintiff alleges Cagle failed to keep proper lookout and failed to use evasive actions at the first appearance of danger.

Cavagno seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of attorney fees, court costs and interest. She is represented by attorney Bryan D. Matthews of The Nation Law Firm LLP in Longwood.
