ORLANDO — A couple is suing an Orlando hotel nightclub operator, alleging negligence led to dance floor injuries to the wife.

Maria Williams and Don Williams filed a complaint Aug. 9 in Orange County Circuit Court against Rosen Hotels and Resorts Inc., doing business as. 3Nine At The Plaza, alleging failure to maintain the interior of the hotel premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on July 30, 2017, Maria Williams was on the dance floor at 3Nine At The Plaza when she slipped and fell on a slippery substance. She says she suffered serious physical injury, causing her to incur pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, medical expense and loss of earnings.

The plaintiffs allege 3Nine At The Plaza failed to ensure that the dance floor was free of hazardous, dangerous and unsafe conditions, and failed to prevent patrons from using the dance floor when liquids fell on it.

The Williamses seek trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs, and attorney fees. They are represented by attorney T. Scott Frazier of Terry & Frazier PA in Orlando.
