ORLANDO — A Orange County vehicle owner is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Lidia Santana filed a complaint Aug. 9 in Orange County Circuit Court against Geico General Insurance Company, alleging the defendant breached the insurance policy by failing to compensate the plaintiff for covered damage.

According to the complaint, on June 3, Santana's vehicle was damaged from vandalism in Orange County. The suit says Santana sought reimbursement for expenses from Geico as she had a full force and effect automobile insurance coverage.

Despite seeking reimbursement from Geico, Santana says, she has not been fully compensated for the sustained damaged. The plaintiff alleges Geico General Insurance has refused and continues to refuse to pay for Santana's covered losses.

Santana seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 for all covered losses with interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney James S. Gentry of Law Offices of Michael B. Brehne PA in Altamonte Springs.
