ORLANDO — An Orlando alternative medicine provider is suing a former office manager, alleging breach of fiduciary duty.

The Franz Center for Children and Wellness PA filed a complaint Aug. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Mary Paula Kendall, alleging she misrepresented that the plaintiff's money had been deposited.

According to the complaint, between July 2002 and May 12, 2016, the Franz Center employed Kendall as office manager for its pediatric practice. After her employment ended, the suit says, the Franz Center learned that a substantial sum of money was missing. The plaintiff alleges Kendall misappropriated the center's money and concealed the same for her own use.

The Franz Center for Children and Wellness seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys Patrick M. Muldowney and Yameel L. Mercado Robles of Baker & Hostetler LLP in Orlando.
