CLEARWATER — A business consultant is suing a financing company, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
Kenneth Tatarow filed a complaint July 30 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Roderick Odom, individually, and Peabody Chase Consulting LLC, alleging the defendants failed to pay the consulting fee of more than $56,000.
According to the complaint, Tatarov worked with the defendants and agreed that he would be paid 1 percent of the 1.5 percent of the consulting fee for the procurement of a $5.65 million loan.
Despite the agreement being expressed in writing, the defendants allegedly took 1 percent of the plaintiff's consulting and he received nothing.
The plaintiff alleges Odom and Peabody Chase Consulting have failed to disclose to Tatarow of why they are not paying the agreed consultant fee after reassuring him that he would receive his fee.
Tatarow seeks trial by jury, damages of $56,560, court costs, interests and all just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Thomas G. Long of Barnett, Bolt, Kirkwood, Long & Koche, PA in Tampa.
