ORLANDO — An Orlando couple is suing a liability insurer, alleging breach of an insurance contract.
Eric Nieves and Magda Nieves filed a complaint July 25 in Orange County Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Company, alleging failure to cover property damages caused by a hurricane.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2017, the Nieves property at 4633 Crosston Bay Court, Orlando, was damaged by Hurricane Irma. The suit says,. in response to the defendant's request, the couple provided proof of the loss and repair estimates.
The plaintiffs allege Security First Insurance has failed to respond to the Nieveses' communications and refused to pay the full damages.
Eric and Magda Nievers seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other proper and appropriate relief. They are represented by attorney David C. Murray of Danahy & Murray PA in Tampa.
