FORT LAUDERDALE — A Cadillac dealer is suing a Broward County woman, alleging she passed a worthless bank check.

Sheehan Cadillac LLC filed a complaint July 18 in Broward County Circuit Court against Johanna Jimenez, alleging she failed to perform her contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 15, Jimenez delivered a check to Sheehan Cadillac for payment of the repair of her 2016 Cadillac Escalade in the amount of $9,704.17. On Feb. 22, the suit says, Suntrust Bank informed the dealership that the check provided by the defendant was worthless.

The plaintiff alleges, despite demand for payment, Jimenez has refused to comply with the terms in the demand letter.

Sheehan Cadillac seeks trial by jury, damages greater than $15,000, plus court costs, attorney fees and all other just and appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney George B. Ribarovski of Law Office of George B. Ribarovski PA in Pompano Beach.
