ORLANDO — A Nevada limited liability company is suing a former employee for an alleged breach of a noncompete contract.

LMG, LLC filed a complaint on May 31 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida-Orange County against Cory Addis alleging that he breached a contract agreement with noncompete and nondisclosure provisions.

According to the complaint, LMG alleges that it hired Addis in January 2011 with a Confidentiality, Noncompete and Nonsolicitation Agreement contract. Addis resigned March 2, 2018, and without prior notice allegedly began working for Evolve Media Group, LLC, a direct competitor of LMG. As a result, LMG has suffered and will continue to suffer irreparable harm to its legitimate business interests, and it has suffered and will continue to suffer financial damages as well as noneconomic damages.

The plaintiff holds Cory Addis responsible because the defendant allegedly knowingly breached the Confidentiality, Noncompete and Nonsolicitation Agreement specifically under contract.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against Corey Addis enjoining him from working for Evolve Media Group, LLC, or any of LMG's other direct competitors or otherwise violating the Agreement, and for reasonable attorney's fees, costs, and such other relief as the court deems just and proper. It is represented by James E. Shepherd of Forster Boughman Lefkowitz & Lowe in Maitland.
