ORLANDO — An Orange County woman is suing dog and property owners, alleging negligence in an attack by the pet.

Mildred Reyes Rivera filed a complaint Feb. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Victoria Underwood, Waterford East Partners LTD, and Concord Management LTD. alleging the defendants failed to protect an individual from reasonably foreseeable danger and injury caused by the offending dog that was kept, maintained, cared for and/or controlled on the property.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 1, 2017, while Rivera was walking her dog at defendants' Waterford East Partners and Concord Management property 14040 Island Bay Drive, Orlando, she was attacked without warning by Underwood's dog, causing injuries, impairment, disability and disfigurement.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to protect individuals from a dog living on the premises.

Rivera seeks a trial by jury, damages to exceed $15,000, as well as post-judgment interest, court costs and all other relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by attorney Christopher G. Fontana of Law Offices of Fontana and Associates, PA in Orlando.
