Late 05

ORLANDO — An Orlando real estate owner is suing a tenant, alleging breach of lease agreement.

Silver Star Plaza LLC filed a complaint Sept. 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against Petersealey LLC and Peter Sealy, alleging breach of good faith and fair dealing in failing to pay rent.

According to the complaint, between March and Sept. 1, Silver Star Plaza has suffered economic injury from Peter Sealy's refusal to pay the required amount of rent when due for the property at 6135 Silver Star Road, Orlando.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to timely pay the required rent, common area maintenance, sales tax and late charges, and forced Silver Star to retain an attorney to recover lost profit.

Silver Star Plaza seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, including accrued rent, accelerated rent, interest, maintenance fees, sales tax, late fees, court costs and attorney fees. It is represented by attorneys Mya M. Hatchette and Brandon S. DeGel of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman PA in Winter Park.
