Prepared Insurance Company accused of breaching insurance contract

Insurance 08

FORT LAUDERDALE — An individual is suing Prepared Insurance Company for alleged breach of contract.

Valerie Chin filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the insurance carrier breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that her property sustained damage on March 20 due to a broken pipe. The defendant, however, allegedly refused to pay the full amount of the damages.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly obligating her to retain and pay for legal counsel to represent and protect her interests, and for allegedly refusing to pay the full amount of her insurance claim.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, costs, attorney's fees and further relief the court deems just. She is represented by Moshe Rubinstein of Moshe Rubinstein Law Firm PA in Hollywood.
