ORLANDO — A woman is suing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. d/b/a Epcot Center for alleged negligence.

Marjorie Busby filed a complaint on June 21 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was attempting to walk down a stairway from the deck of defendant's property to view the fireworks display on Oct. 28, 2014 when she tripped over a raised brick and fell violently to the ground.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to maintain the area safe, have improper lighting and warn her of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, plus costs, interest and further relief the court deems just. She is represented by Patrick W. Lawlor of Lawlor & Associates in Boca Raton.
